Lyn Niemeyer is the founder of LMNOP Advisors, LLC, a consulting practice built on three decades of leadership in organizational change management and strategic planning across the U.S. Naval Nuclear Power Program. She is recognized for bringing clarity to complex challenges, delivering hard truths with precision, and partnering with executive teams to navigate turbulence and business transformation. Her impact has spanned organizations as large as the Naval Nuclear Laboratory and the private/public US Aircraft Carrier maintenance enterprise.

Naval Nuclear Laboratory (2011–2026) Lyn held a progression of leadership roles in which she drove improvements across logistics, project execution planning, one-to-five-year portfolio planning, maintenance and operations, and enterprise information technology. She is well known across the Naval Nuclear Laboratory for fostering innovation, knowledge management, and positive cultural change.
U.S. Navy Contracted Support (2006–2011) Lyn led multiple cross-organizational and cross-functional teams focused on reducing aircraft carrier overhaul cycle times and improving cost-effectiveness. As leader of the Aircraft Carrier Team One Material Mitigation Community of Practice, she delivered $27 million in cost avoidance to Navy Aircraft Carrier Overhaul Programs in one fiscal year.
U.S. Navy Line Officer Active Service (2000–2005) Lyn served aboard USS Theodore Roosevelt (CVN-71) and USS O’Brien (DDG-975), where she held responsibilities as a ship driver, trainer, public affairs officer, collateral-duty intelligence officer, and nuclear operations supervisor. During her early Naval experience, she personally witnessed the Navy’s gender integration process, led her Sailors in using personal computers and mobile devices for the first time, and drove other efficiency-enhancing process changes in the shipyard and at sea.
U.S. Navy Enlisted Active Service (1996–2000) At the University of Rochester, Lyn led the NROTC Battalion as Adjutant and Executive Officer while completing her undergraduate studies. Before being selected for commissioning through the NROTC Program, her leadership ability was recognized with an assignment as the first enlisted female class leader of a Naval Nuclear Power School class.
Community Leadership
Lyn continues to advocate for inclusion and equity in Clifton Park, New York, where she lives with her husband and two teenage daughters. She leverages her leadership experience to develop adult and youth leaders through the Scouting America and SCORE organizations. In 2021, she founded Troop 4030G, the first Scouting America (previously known as Boy Scouts of America) troop for girls in Clifton Park, NY, and in 2025 formed the first local gender-integrated Scouting America troop. She reversed a failing financial trajectory as Chair of the Board of Directors for her church preschool and was part of the Junior League of Schenectady and Saratoga Counties from 2008 to 2011.
Education
Lyn holds a B.A. in Biology from the University of Rochester and an M.A. in Engineering Management from Old Dominion University.
